There’s approx... 400 Leisure / Sportive Events taking place in various locations all over Ireland in 2015. Here is a proposal of some events for the club to participate in:

February 2015

Stage 4 Sportive based in East Clare -Supporting the International Junior Tour of Ireland – 28th Feb 2015

Starting: 10.00am Whitegate GAA Club Co. Clare.  100k & 60k route.

March 2015

The Spring Classic Sunday 22nd March 2015.  70km - Spring Classic Sportive in County Down

Starting and Finishing - Monalto Estate, near Ballynahinch. Co. Down.

Stephen Roche Atlantic Challenge 28th March 2015

80km Sportive with Stephen Roche in Co. Clare.
Starting in Lahinch, the cycle takes in the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Corkscrew Hill.  Lonely Planet described this cycle route as the 5th Best Cycling Route in the World.

April 2015 

Etape Ras Mumhan – Saturday  4th April 2015

The Kerry Group Rás Mumhan is renowned as one of the top cycle races on the Irish domestic calendar. The Etape will take in the Beara peninsula and the Healy pass on a spectacular route which includes spectacular climbs through some of West Cork and Kerry’s beautiful countryside. At 145km the route will be challenging. The Etape Rás Mumhan provides the leisure & sportive rider with a rare opportunity to ride a classic stage of a domestic road stage race.

Tour of Lough Derg - Sunday 17th May 2015

Proposal: Dunboyne Club Member overnight Event – Overnight Stay (Hotel TBC) on Saturday night 16th May followed by cycle on Sunday 17th May. Cycle starts and finishes in Lakeside Hotel Ballina / Killaloe..
109km Event: Around Lough Derg.
